Sustainability Initiatives
Driving Sustainable Progress Through Quality, Innovation, and Technology
High Life and our corporate network is committed to improving our environment, choosing partners and suppliers who share the same goals of sustainability and social compliance.
Sustainability Pillars
Protect our global climate by reducing energy use in our supply chain and our office and operations.
Further engage with wet-processing mills on chemical management and improvement.
Continue to expand on our use of 3D Design software’s to eliminate apparel sample waste and reduce shipping needs.
Assess a product’s environmental life-cycle impact for key styles within the company to increase internal and external awareness of the full impact of our products.
Continue to increase our product offerings with sustainable fibers (organic cotton, recycled polyester, BCI Cotton, and more).
Environmental Reporting
Our Goal
Our goal is to achieve environmental reporting from 100% of our Tier 1 factories
What we’re doing
The majority of our Tier 1 and Tier 2 facilities are required to complete the annual Higg Facility Environmental Module (FEM). The FEM measures the environmental impact of product manufacturing at facilities -- from water use, to waste management, to chemical and energy use. We provide the factories with Factory Improvement Plans which include training and guidance to assist them in not only improving their scores but reducing environmental impacts as well.
SUPPLY CHAIN RESPONSIBILITY
Supplier Management Program
We are dedicated to working with suppliers who share our total commitment to human rights, supply chain security, product safety, safe working conditions, and ethical conduct worldwide. To maintain our commitment, we have established a robust supply chain management program that includes:
Supplier Code of Conduct
Pre-Audit Readiness Assessment
Social Compliance Program with Third-Party Verification Audits
Supplier Risk Assessments
Upstream Supply Chain Disclosures
Our Commitment to Responsible Recruitment
As a proud and active member of the American Apparel & Footwear Association, we signed the AAFA Commitment to Responsible Recruitment. Signing this commitment allows us to join the industry's collective action and solidify our strong commitment to fair treatment of workers in our supply chain. One important part of this ongoing effort is working together to eliminate conditions that can lead to forced labor in the countries from which we source products.
